A ranch worker placement service, run by a person

The Right Hands. The Right Ranch.

Hardy Hands personally matches ranch workers with ranches that need help. No job-board guessing, no random applicants, no worker fees.

Workers pay nothing. Ranches pay only if they hire.
Built on real ranch experience. Every worker is screened by a person, not a bot.

This is not a job board.

Job boards collect postings and let both sides guess. Hardy Hands screens the worker, verifies the ranch, and makes the introduction by hand, the way hiring actually works out here.

A job board gives you

  • A stack of resumes from people who've never touched a cow
  • Posting fees whether anyone good applies or not
  • No idea if the pay, housing, or duties are real
  • Nobody to call when it goes sideways

Hardy Hands gives you

  • Workers screened on experience, references, and timing
  • Roles verified on pay, housing, and actual duties
  • A direct, personal introduction when both sides fit
  • A real person who answers the phone

How matching works

Four steps from form to first day. The full process is on the how it works page.

1

Fill out one form

A worker or a ranch describes what they need. Five minutes, no account, no login.

2

We screen the fit

Every submission gets read by a person. Experience, references, housing, timing, and pay all get verified.

3

Introductions are made by hand

Matching candidates are introduced personally, with permission from both sides. No blasts, no lists.

4

Pay only when it works

$100 activates the search; the ranch pays the $400 success fee only if the worker is hired and actually starts. No hire, no success fee.

What gets screened, every time

A match only goes out when the practical stuff lines up. These are the ten things checked on both sides before any introduction.

PayReal numbers, confirmed before any intro.
HousingWhat's offered, what's needed, who fits it.
DogsAllowed, working dogs only, or none.
HorsesWorker's own horses, yes or no.
Start dateAvailable now, before calving, or seasonal.
SkillsCalving, fencing, equipment, CDL, and more.
ReferencesChecked, not just collected.
RegionWhere they are and where they'll go.
Party typeSingle hand, couple, family, or crew.
PermissionNothing shared until the worker says yes.

Every worker gets a tier, like a brand

Ranches never sort a pile. Workers are tagged by experience and readiness before anyone's time gets spent.

Experienced / Sendable

Three or more years, advanced skills, checkable references. Goes to the front of the line.

Good Backup

Solid base of skills with a constraint or two: housing, location, or timing.

Entry-Level / Trainable

Light on experience but willing to show up and learn. Plenty of outfits will train.

Not Fit / Missing Info

Red flags, non-responsive, or the lead is incomplete. Never sent to a ranch.

Why we built it

Founder-led, not a faceless agency.

Hardy Hands comes out of real ranch work and a CSU Agricultural Business background. We started it after watching the same two problems on repeat: good hands who couldn't find the right outfit, and good outfits who couldn't find reliable help.

We're not a recruiting firm and we're not building an app to sit between you and the work. We screen every worker, verify every role, and only make introductions that make sense for both sides. If we can't help you, we'll tell you straight.

Right hands. Right ranch.

Post a job, get screened matches.

Tell us the role, pay, and housing. We send candidates who actually fit. $100 to activate the search, then $400 only if your hire actually starts.
